Michael Lacy President
Michael D. Lacy
President
Michael Lacy joined the board of Transcendence in 2003 after being inspired by Transcendence founder Earlene Thompson's life's work of charitable endeavors. He became board president in 2004.
Michael passionately believes everyone who is able, is responsibility to substantially contribute towards bettering the lives of those less fortunate. In addition he feels acting upon this responsibility is both the fulfillment of duty and a blessing one gets from the very process of giving.
Mr. Lacy's professional experiences include owning and operating a Fatburger restaurant franchise in Rancho Cucamonga, California from 2005 to 2008. His involvement included capital procurement, contractual negotiations, developing company culture and policies, and managing the day-to-day operations. He’s also spent several years in a family owned development and construction business in various roles. Prior to Fatburger Mr. Lacy was a Senior Account Executive for Aspect Software (2000-2005). While at Aspect he managed complex sales cycles in the area of enterprise customer contact management solutions. During his tenure he was awarded President's Club honors in each of his five years with recognition as Global Software Salesperson of the Year in 2002 and Runner-up in 2004. Michael Lacy joined TIBCO Software in 2008, as Senior Account Executive, which provides enterprises software solutions. His responsibilities include coordinating the sales strategy for accounts in Southern California and managing the relationship with various clients. In 2010 he earned the achievement of Presidents Club with TIBCO.

Pastor Donald. R. Gridiron Vice President
Pastor of Faith Center Ministries, Pastoring since 1987. Overseeing a congregation of around 500 members. Located in the city of Walnut, Calif. I have been a Board member since 1994. I have served as Board Chairman, Treasurer, member, and Vice Chairman, current position. I became involved with Wilene's because I felt the need to help the Organization achieve its objectives and the objectives of helping youth was in line with my own commitment. It was a way of helping youth achieves their dreams and fulfilling their purpose in life. |

James M. Kearney, III
Recording Secretary
Mr. Kearney, a distinguished community leader, has dedicated his life to ensuring the fair and equitable treatment of all human beings. His advocacy for the rights of disenfranchised citizens has instrumentally changed the life outcomes for hundreds of people in the Pomona Valley.
James received his Bachelor’s from Harvard University and earned a judicial degree from UCLA. He has served on the Transcendence board since 2003 and is excited about its new mission.

A. Majadi
Mr. A. Majadi is the Chief Professional Officer of the Boys & Girls Clubs of San Bernardino/Rialto he has more than 20 years experience in community program development. As a former consultant for the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development and Department of Labor, A. Majadi created the City of San Diego’s Safe Haven program, a community re-development effort of which he received national recognition for his efforts. In addition, he co-authored a Gang Intervention and Prevention Program for San Diego Youth & Community Coalition where he also served as a Court Advocate, taught Life Skills, and received awards and recognition for job development. Mr. Majadi is co-founder of the Inland Empire Black Community Coalition. He currently serves as President/CEO of the Black Contractors Association of the Inland Empire, and Vice President of the Black Contractors Association of California, Founder and President of JADI Community Resource Development, Vice-President of The Westside Action Group, and board-member for Regional Congregations Neighborhood Organizations. |

Sheri L. Stuart
Sheri Stuart is a communications specialist with more than 10 years of experience in print, radio and television news reporting; corporate communications and public relations. She was recently named senior communications specialist for Springboard, a nonprofit consumer credit counseling organization. She has held leadership positions in broadcast media as well as the automotive industry. In 2006, she established OneNation Media Services, Inc., a nonprofit corporation dedicated to using a combination of media content forms, including text, audio, video and still images to educate and inspire youth and adults. She is a 2008 New America Media Fellow. She is also a recipient of the Corporate Community Service Award from the Inland Valley News. Sheri obtained a Master’s degree from Central Michigan University and a Bachelor’s degree from Michigan State University. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, sewing and spending time with family and friends.
Ms. Stuart states “I am honored to support the mission of Transcendence. There is great personal fulfillment in knowing that the work to which we are committed will have a positive and lasting impact for generations”.

Robin Younger-Holmes
Robin Younger-Holmes has worked in the field of Child Welfare for over twenty years. She is currently supervising a unit of six Children's Social Workers for the Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services providing Family Maintenance, Reunification, and Permanent Placement services to abused and neglected children and their families. Ms. Younger-Holmes has an extensive clinical background including previous work history and internships in domestic violence and drug and alcohol dependence.
Ms. Younger-Holmes is an Associate Faculty member for the University of Phoenix, Southern California Campus, and for LOGOS, Loveland Church. She is active in Christian service and is a part of the Deaconess Ministry of Loveland Church. Ms. Younger-Holmes holds a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Psychology, and a Master of Arts (M.A) in Counseling Psychology, from Loyola Marymount University. She is a life member of Alpha Sigma Nu, the National Jesuit Honor Society. She is also a life member of PSI CHI, the National Honor Society in Psychology.
Ms. Younger-Holmes believes in the mission and vision of Transcendence and is committed to ensuring that children and families receive opportunities to live whole and healthy lives.

La Quetta Bush-Simmons
Executive Director
Rev. La Quetta Bush-Simmons has more than fifteen
years of experience in non-profit management and ecumenical/interfaith
collaborations. Rev. Bush-Simmons specializes in entering into dialogue with
organizations to analyze existing capabilities to help organizations to build
capacity by creating a fund development and programmatic plan for long-term
sustainability. In 2003, she was recognized by the Business Press News Magazine
2003 Leaders of Distinction Award for non-profit leadership and featured in the
Apartment Professional Magazine, a national publication, as one of the 14 top women
executives in the industry.
Rev. Bush- Simmons is the founder and chief executive officer of Simmons Consulting
and Training Services. Her professional experiences has led her to the understanding
the failure in institutions is a result of being over managed and under led. With this
understanding, her company’s focus is teaching executive leadership how to lead by
providing vision and creating an organizational culture that inspires, motivates and
stimulates individual and company growth. |
